A passenger launched a foul-mouthed attack and threatened to fight people on a train, before onlookers step in and punch him in a dramatic video.
The two-minute clip begins with the unidentified male – who is dressed in black jeans and a matching T-shirt with a grey jacket – approaching various passengers.
He shouts “d***head,” at a young male passenger, who responds by asking him, “What would I gain from having a fight?”
The aggressor starts pointing his finger in the male’s face, telling him repeatedly, “I’ll rip your f***ing head off sunshine” before briefly grabbing hold of his head.
The attacker and the woman then engage in a shouting match as she orders him to get off the train, at which point another older male passenger gets involved in the dispute.
Clearly angered that another passenger has got involved, the attacker becomes verbally aggressive towards the older man.
A man can then be heard off-camera telling the attacker to leave the passengers alone and he appears to calm down – but seconds later, he again tells the old man to get off the train so that they can settle their differences in a fistfight.
The younger attacker puffs out his chest and then appears to whack the older man multiple times and wave his hands in his face.
But the older passenger is having none of it and tells him he doesn’t want to fight and refuses to move.
Things soon take a nasty turn when the attacker whacks the glasses off the older man’s face, prompting him to stand up and ask him “Are you being serious?!”
Just when it looks like the pair may get into a physical fight, two other men approach the young lad and begin pushing and shoving him, while other startled passengers watch on.
The incident is believed to have taken place in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.
British Transport Police confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been brought in for questioning.
